Roger’s Rock, Lake George, New York
Thursday, June 12 to Sunday, June 15
Join us for this early season trip to Roger’s Rock
, in beautiful upstate New York. It is about a seven hour drive. Roger’s Rock is a 700 foot slab that rises out of the cool water of Lake George. It features several multi-pitch routes. There are also several other climbing areas nearby, along with swimming and boating on Lake George.
We have reserved several sites at Roger’s Rock Campground
, a short paddle from the climbing area, for Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights. As more people sign up, we will book additional campsites as needed. The earlier you sign up, the easier it will be for us to get sites close together (we could not book group sites as they have a high minimum number of campers).
We will host a potluck dinner on Saturday night (and perhaps some campfire songs for those so inclined).
We recommend you sign up as soon as you can to make planning easier. Those who register will be sent an e-mail with additional information and a spreadsheet link to coordinate car pools, transportation to the cliffs, climbing partners, camping sites, and the potluck
. We will have one small power boat available and will try and ferry people and gear as best as possible, but we’ll be climbing as well.
Please use the spreadsheet to communicate your plans and e-mail us with any questions.
