This months presentation:

Haute Route Ski Mountaineering Tour

The Haute Route is a journey that links the two alpine centres of Chamonix, France and Zermatt, Switzerland. It was first completed as a glacier trek during the summer of 1861 and first skied in 1903, by a group of Frenchmen who translated the name to the Haute Route ski tour. It has since passed into ski legend and remains one of the most famous and most coveted ski tours in the world, with fantastic scenery and exhilarating skiing.

Jim McClave will describe this seven day ski mountaineering tour and also a six day ski mountaineering tour in the Berner Oberland close to the Eiger and Jungfrau. He will cover the routes and experience, equipment, costs, skiing/climbing levels, and pre-trip training.
