There is a two mile hike in to Annapolis Rock. Plan to bring water and snacks for the day. Climbers should bring their own personal gear (harness, helmet, shoes, chalk bag, and belay device) and a top-rope set-up if they have one. The club will provide additional top-rope set-ups as needed. Besides top roping, there will be a clinic for trad climbers on setting pro and building a belay station in the kind horizontal cracks that you find at the Gunks. The cracks are right off the ground, making it a great place to practice and learn. Bring some of your favorite pieces.
The club will meet at 8 a.m. the Appalachian Trailhead Parking on Route 40, just outside of Myersville, Maryland.
