Annapolis Rocks Top-Roping and Trad Trip
October 10, 2021 @ 4:00 am - 12:00 pm
FreeJoin PATC-MS for a day of climbing at Annapolis Rock. Annapolis Rock is a quartzite crag in South Mountain State Park. It is known for its horizontal fractures which make for a variety of easy, moderate, and difficult face and roof routes.
This event will be limited to PATC-MS members and capped at 14 climbers.
There is a two mile hike in to Annapolis Rock. Plan to bring water (at least a gallon) and snacks for the day.
Climbers should bring their own personal gear (harness, helmet, shoes, chalk bag, and belay device) and a top-rope set-up if they have one. I will set up some top ropes for people but will primarily be trad climbing down at the South End. You do not need to bring a partner for this event unless you are trad climbing.
The club will meet at 8 a.m. the Appalachian Trailhead Parking on Route 40, just outside of Myersville, Maryland. Please do not be late as the group will not wait for you.
