Join PATC-MS on October 16, 2021 for a day of climbing at Buzzard Rocks in Elizabeth Furnace near Front Royal, VA.

Buzzard Rocks is a west facing crag known for its run-out sport and trad routes on grippy slab with beautiful views of the valley below.

Please arrange for a partner and make travel plans prior to the trip. This is not an instructional clinic/event.

The trip is limited to PATC-MS members and is capped at 10 climbers. There is a two mile hike to the climbs so dress appropriately and bring plenty of food and water for the day.

Climbers should also bring their own personal gear (harness, helmet, shoes, chalk bag, and belay device), 8-10 quick draws, a 60-70m rope, and a trad rack if they are interested in routes that require placing gear.

We will meet at 8am in the Buzzard Rock Parking Area on Mountain Road (Route 619). Please arrive on time. Crowds form quickly and we want to claim our spot as early as possible. Also, parking is limited so carpooling is recommended.
