Bring your climbing shoes, harness, and helmet for an evening of climbing at Carderock. Please wear your red PATC shirt if you have it, or any red shirt. This event is open to all, we’ll just ask you to sign a waiver if you’re not a club member.

If you are not a club member or you are a club member but don’t have your own ropes please sign up via Eventbrite so we know how many people to expect who will need to climb on club ropes.  NOTE- Due to the popularity of these events we cannot guarantee space for “walkups” so if you don’t register we cannot guarantee you will be able to climb on club ropes.

Once you park in the parking lot walk on the trail by the bathrooms to a bulletin board, you’ll see a club member there who can direct you further. If you are not a current club member you are still welcome to join, you just aren’t able to RSVP on the website.

If the weather looks bad, we will make the call to cancel the event at 2pm the day of. Check Facebook, Instagram, and your email if the weather is questionable.

Please note that this is not a guided event and none of our trip leaders are professional guides. You will be climbing on ropes set up by members of the club who are hobby climbers and not professionals. Climbing is an inherently dangerous sport and you do so at your own risk. You are responsible for yourself and your own safety at all times.
