September Meeting – Injury Prevention for Climbers

Join us for an interactive, movement focused meeting to learn warm-up and recovery movements to help you stay healthy and strong for Sendtember and Rocktober.
Please come dressed to move and bring a yoga mat or towel. If you have a yoga block please also bring that.

Happy Hour Specials will be offered- $5 beers, wine, shots, and fries (potatoes, yuca, sweet potatoes)
*if you want to have food or drinks please plan to arrive early to order or stick around after due to the flow of the meeting it will be hard for you to eat/drink during the meeting.

Bianca has worked in the Health and Fitness Industry since 2007. She is a certified personal trainer with 10+ years of experience and a Licensed Massage Therapist
She holds a BS in Exercise Science and worked as a chiropratic assistant for 3 years. She’s been climbing for over 10 years and leads the local meet ups for the Ladies Climbing Coalition.

Umair holds a Masters in Electrical Engineering and 12 years of experience in the wireless communication technology and intellectual property. While interested and continuing to work in the evolution of technology Umair’s life passion lies with the technology in each of our bodies which Umair continues to research personally through somatic practices including yoga, meditation, and improvisational movement. Umair is the founder of Aquanimous, a company that markets sustainable cork-based yoga, recovery and self-massage tools. Aquanimous also organizes classes for recovery practices using self-massage tools. Aquanimous was founded to bridge personal wellness practice and environmental consciousness, and aims to shift the normalization of plastics and artificial materials in the fitness industry. Umair is also a certified yoga teacher and has taught meditative, vinyasa, restorative and yoga classes incorporating self-massage in the wider DC area.
