August 13 @ 9:00 am - 5:00 pmFree
Are you ready to escape the DC August heat? Join PATC-MS on the climbing trip to the beautiful Michaux forest in south-central Pennsylvania. The shaded Shaffer’s Rock offers over 30 TR routes in a variety of grades – from a beginner 5.4 to a strenuous 5.11d (link to routes)! Bring your harness, helmet, belay device, top rope kit (if you have one) and don’t worry about carrying the extra weight – the “hike” to the crag is shorter than at Carderock!
For those that want to extend the adventure we’ll be staying at the PATC Hermitage Cabin Friday and Saturday nights. Cost per person will be divided per person per night but shouldn’t be more than $20 per person for two nights.
