Vaso Island

Details

Directly across from Carderock, this island used to be called Herzog Island. In the 40s and 50s, all club chairs were required to climb Chairman’s Chimney. It is possible to wade to the island at the north end, but it NPS rules forbid wading or swimming, so use a boat. From North (upstream) toi South the walls are:
