Practicing physician Dr Christopher Van Tilburg will present on risk management in mountain sports and how to mitigate common medical issues such as hypothermia, frostbite and heat illness.

Dr. Van Tilburg is an emergency medicine physician, mountain rescue doctor with the Hood River Crag Rats, Chair of the Medical Committee of the Mountain Rescue Association, and author of over 11 books, including Mountain Rescue Doctor: Wilderness Medicine in the Extremes of Nature.
