Dr. Tracee Metcalfe is a physician and accomplished mountaineer who has achieved the remarkable feat of becoming the first U.S. woman to summit all 14 of the world’s 8,000-meter peaks. Her journey, fueled by passion and determination, has not only taken her to the highest mountains but also inspired her to support meaningful causes, empowering women and underprivileged individuals through charitable work with organizations like Ascend: Leadership Through Athletics and the dZi Foundation. Through these partnerships, she supports initiatives that foster leadership in young women and improve the quality of life in rural communities.

Growing up in Southern California, Tracee discovered her love for the mountains in Colorado, where she learned to push limits and overcome obstacles. From humble beginnings hiking easy hills to ultimately standing atop the world’s highest peaks, she will share with you her transformative journey, highlighting the lessons learned and challenges overcome along the way. As a physician, she has combined her medical expertise with mountaineering, working as an expedition doctor on notable peaks such as Denali, Everest, Cho Oyu, Manaslu, and Makalu.
