Shaffer Rocks Top Roping Sunday July 26

(Rescheduled from June 27) Shaffer Rocks is predominantly a top-roping crag located in Michaux State Forest in Pennsylvania, about 90 minutes from the beltway at Bethesda. The crag has 30+ routes around 60ft in height from 5.3 to 5.11+. The classics are generally 5.6 to 5.10.The rock is a good quality Weverton quartzite that dries quickly (more…)

Friends and Family New Climbers Day Sun September 13

Chili Cook Off-The Gendarme Seneca Rocks, WVA Oct. 16-18th 2026

The annual chili cook-off will be held October 17 at the Gendarme.  Bring your best chili effort, pay $5 to enter, and take home the pot if your recipe wows the judges.
