Thurmont Watershed Sept 14

Let’s hit up Thurmont Watershed TWS rocks – Ed rocks!  It’s a smallish predominantly toprope crag north of Frederick MD.  There is climbing info on mountainproject and it’s covered in Vol 1 of the  Maryland (Kochte) guide. Gunks Trip Sept 25 – Sept 28

This is a three day trip to the Schwangunks, a trad climbing area about 80 miles north of New York City. The idea is to arrive Thursday evening (~5 1/2 hours driving time), pitch tents at the AAC campground, climb full days on Friday and Saturday; Sunday break up camp, climb 1/2 day, drive back. A weekend of good climbing and even better chili! The Seneca Rocks Chili Cook Off is on October 18th at the Gendarme’s porch.
