PMC Birthday + Christmas Party Nov 9

We are excited for our upcoming birthday party/picnic November 9th, 3 – 6pm at the Carderock Pavilion. The club will be providing food and drinks. Buzzard Rocks October 5th

This trip will be visiting Buzzard Rocks.  Directions, guidebook info etc is given below. Participants MUST have indoor sport climbing and belaying experience. We encourage folks to join as long as they have indoor climbing experience. There will be a maximum of 8 participants. The grades of the climbs are mostly 5.6+ slab and harder. (more…)

Mountaineering Conditioning Backpacking Weekend

Great Falls Aid Box, September 21, 2024

Join PATC-MS for a day of climbing at Aid box at Great Falls National Park. Great Falls is one of DC’s local crags and good for top-roping. Harpers Ferry Top Roping (Balcony and Balcony Jr) October 12th 2024

This trip will be visiting Balcony and Balcony Jr as the other climbing areas can be closed to protect nesting peregrine falcon. Info on routes for this area is on Mountain Project. Seneca Rocks Chili Cook Off

The Seneca Rocks Chili Cook Off is on October 19th at the Gendarme’s porch. Climbers will enjoy the weekend at Seneca Rocks. This event brings the local community together.
